Job Description Job Description Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly financial statements, including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows for Senior Management review. Ensure all accounts are reconciled timely and accurately to the General Ledger. Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations. Assist in preparing annual farm field costing. Prepare monthly farm and collection activity Work-in-Process (WIP) reconciliations and verify balances are appropriate based on uncleaned seed inventory. Take ownership of the month-end closing process and ensure timely completion for all divisions. Maintain the Fixed Asset list, including tracking acquisitions and disposals. Prepare and file sales tax returns in all applicable states. Perform ongoing review of company accounting policies and procedures; recommend and implement improvements. Ensure adherence to all company accounting and finance policies and procedures. Monitor timely completion of all accounting functions to support financial statement completion in alignment with the published financial close calendar. Prepare supporting documentation for external auditors and collaborate closely with auditors during year-end audits. Complete additional projects as requested by Senior Management.
