Title: Cross Country Coach Reports to: Athletic Director (AD) / High School Principal Schedule: Fall Athletics Season Pay: Hourly Start Date: August 2025 Invictus Academy of Richmond prepares 100% of students in grades 7-12 to thrive in the colleges of their choice, solve relevant problems, and communicate with confidence. You have the knowledge and experience to teach cross country skills, lead practices and conditioning for individuals and a team. You are passionate about the area that you are coaching and have knowledge and experience with skills and conditioning related to Cross Country skill development. You are passionate about Cross Country and are eager to develop your students’ love for it too. You are professional, responsible, and collaborative with students, families, and colleagues. You are able to start immediately. You are able to be fully present for the season which includes a weekly commitment of 2 practices and one meet each week. The practices and meets will take place in the evenings and on weekends. WHAT IS THE ROLE? Ensure compliance with the rules, regulations, and expectations of the CIF and BACSAC. Oversee all practices and games and supervise the athletes in their use of all facilities. Responsible for the care, issuing, collection, storage and inventory of all equipment and uniforms used in the program. Submit to the AD a complete, cleared roster of team members and full season schedule. Assist in the prevention and care of injuries. Follow the appropriate procedures for budget, purchasing, and transportation. Ensure that all school disciplinary policies are followed. Act as liaison between the school and parents, AD and Leadership. Coordinate any banquets, awards or honors with the Athletic Director. Maintain a relationship with athletes based on mutual respect and trust.
