Job Description

This is a hybrid-on-site position (4 days per week in the office) located in either San Francisco or San Jose, CA. Candidates must be local to California.

We are working with a client in the retail domain who has an immediate opening for an Oracle DB developer with Vertex experience. The role involves implementing and configuring Oracle Financial and Vertex tax solutions for various legal entities across different countries including the US, Canada, Italy, Turkey, Portugal, and the UK.

Responsibilities

• Implement and configure Oracle Financial and Vertex tax solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and provide ongoing support.

Must Have Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Vertex Certified Professional certification.
• Oracle ERP Financial Modules (AP, AR, GL, FA) certifications.
• Experience with Certificate Exemption process, configuration, and setup in Vertex.
• Experience working in a consulting or professional services environment.
• Experience with tax software solutions such as Tax Link and Vertex, and tax compliance tools.
• At least 3 years of experience in tax technology implementation, focusing on Vertex tax solutions for use tax and sales tax across multiple legal entities.
• Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations related to sales and use tax.
• 5+ years of experience with Oracle ERP Cloud financial modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, Projects).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with business and internal teams.
