Physical Therapist (PT) – Inpatient & Outpatient | Contract | Quick Start

We are seeking an experienced and independent Physical Therapist (PT) for a 13-week contract assignment in a rural healthcare setting. This role offers a diverse caseload across inpatient and outpatient services , ideal for a clinician who is adaptable, confident, and skilled in managing patients across the continuum of care.

Position Details:

• Job Type: Contract
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Number of Openings: 1
• Position Urgency: Quick Start
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (lunch 12:00–1:00 PM)
• Saturday availability is required (no exceptions)
• Work hours may vary based on patient needs

Specialty:

• Rehabilitation Therapy

Practice Settings:

• Inpatient: Acute Care, ICU, ER, Med/Surg, SNF, Observation, occasional OB (approximately 25%)
• Outpatient: Hospital-based outpatient clinic (approximately 75%)
• Additional exposure may include home health, assisted living, and long-term care

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive PT evaluations and treatments for inpatient and outpatient populations
• Manage mobility progression from acute care through SNF and discharge planning
• Provide independent, thorough care across a wide range of outpatient diagnoses
• Treat patients in ER, ICU, Med/Surg, and outpatient clinic settings as assigned
• Maintain a full schedule with treatment sessions every 30–45 minutes (1 hour for new evaluations), averaging 5–15 patients per day
• Document patient care accurately and timely per facility standards
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes

Required Qualifications:

• Active Hawaii Physical Therapist license (must be obtained as soon as possible if not already licensed)
• Minimum of 2 years of Physical Therapy experience
• Strong clinical independence and decision-making skills
• Experience across inpatient and outpatient settings preferred

Certifications:

• BLS/BCLS

Additional Information:

• Holiday compensation is based on hours worked on the holiday
• Candidates must communicate arrival details and remaining compliance items upon confirmation
