Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher with autism expertise to support three classrooms within a K-8 school serving elementary through middle school students. This full-time position requires on-site presence in the Denver area (east side of city) from January 7, 2026, through May 21, 2026. Working Monday through Friday for 37.5 hours per week, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering specialized instruction and managing classroom paraprofessionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction tailored to students with autism across three classrooms, each with approximately 12 students.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and adapt lessons to meet diverse needs.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals and school staff to support student learning and behavior management.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state requirements.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment promoting growth and independence.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Colorado Teaching License with Special Education Generalist endorsement.
• Experience teaching in Special Education classrooms, including managing paraprofessional staff.
• Skills and knowledge specific to autism spectrum disorder instruction.
• Ability to engage and instruct K-8 students with diverse learning needs.
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
• On-site availability required; virtual or hybrid arrangements are not permissible.

Location: Aurora, Colorado, within the greater Denver area
