Skilled Maintenance Technician – County Parks

Various Park Locations | 6:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m. | 30 hrs/week | $25/hr

Summary

Hands-on maintenance professional with experience completing carpentry, painting, and general repair work across county park facilities. Skilled in handling multiple work orders, managing materials, and supporting corrective and preventative maintenance projects with accuracy and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Responded to maintenance work orders for repairs in county parks, including carpentry, painting, and general facility upkeep.
• Repaired and installed custom windows, doors, thresholds, and hardwood flooring.
• Built standard park kiosks and corrected cosmetic defects in millwork using epoxy, fillers, and paint-matching techniques.
• Supported staff on routine and corrective maintenance projects to ensure safe, well-maintained park amenities.
• Managed materials, tracked inventory needs, and coordinated multiple work orders simultaneously.
• Evaluated potential issues such as scheduling or calendar conflicts and communicated updates promptly.
• Created and completed documentation, including work orders, inspection reports, and basic maintenance logs.
• Performed additional maintenance duties as assigned throughout county parks.
