Job Description: UiPath Solution Architect (RPA + Power Platform)

Location: Baltimore, MD or Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect with deep expertise in UiPath RPA and Microsoft Power Platform. This role requires someone who can bridge business needs and technical solutions—taking business requirements, evaluating technology options, and producing scalable, well-architected solutions. The ideal candidate will have the ability to recommend the right tool (UiPath vs. Power Platform) based on business context, and design end-to-end automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Architecture & Design
  • Translate business requirements into technical solution designs.
  • Define RPA and Power Platform solution architectures, integration patterns, and deployment models.
  • Evaluate when to use UiPath vs Power Platform (Power Automate, PowerApps, Dataverse) and recommend best-fit solutions.
  • Create technical design documents (TDDs), process design documents (PDDs), and solution blueprints.
• Technical Expertise & Implementation
  • Hands-on expertise with UiPath Orchestrator, Studio, and AI Center.
  • Strong knowledge of Power Platform components (Power Automate, PowerApps, Dataverse, Power Virtual Agents).
  • Design and guide development of robust automation frameworks, ensuring scalability, reusability, and governance.
• Collaboration & Leadership
  • Work with business stakeholders, BA teams, and developers to align requirements with architecture.
  • Mentor RPA developers and guide them on best practices, frameworks, and reusable components.
  • Drive solution standardization and platform adoption across the enterprise.
• Quality & Governance
  • Ensure all solutions follow enterprise security, compliance, and architecture guidelines.
  • Establish and enforce standards for logging, monitoring, and exception handling.
  • Support production rollout and provide solution-level oversight.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years in Solution Architecture with at least 4+ years in RPA (UiPath).
• Deep technical knowledge of UiPath Orchestrator, Studio, AI/ML integrations, and RPA lifecycle artifacts.
• Strong experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, PowerApps, Dataverse).
• Proven ability to evaluate tools and recommend the right platform for automation use cases.
• Strong background in solution design, system integrations, and enterprise architecture principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience creating solution design artifacts (TDD, PDD, architectural diagrams).

Preferred Qualifications

• UiPath Advanced RPA Developer or Solution Architect certification.
• Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect Expert certification.
• Experience with cloud-native integration patterns (Azure, AWS).
• Exposure to enterprise observability tools (AppDynamics, Datadog, Splunk, CloudWatch).
