Job Description

We are looking for a Residential Security Officer to join our Global Security Protective Services team in Los Angeles, CA. Snap Inc. is a technology company focused on camera‑based solutions that improve lives. Our core products include Snapchat, Lens Studio, and Spectacles. Responsibilities Implement, manage, and help lead a comprehensive residential security program for senior executives, family members, and guests. Greet and receive guests in a professional, discreet manner. Monitor CCTV and security technologies in a 24/7 Command Post. Implement access control procedures. Conduct foot patrols, inspect deliveries, and execute other security procedures to maintain 24‑hour security for residential properties. Maintain detailed, accurate logs; draft and update SOPs; create and maintain complex shift schedules and electronic calendars; track and manage official expenses and transaction reports. Liaise with household staff, contractors, event staff, and other stakeholders to ensure security procedures are understood and followed. Respond to security breaches, medical emergencies, and other incidents. Assist with incident and disaster planning and response; conduct drills, maintain inventories, and test equipment. Mentor and develop junior Residential Security Officers. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of residential security operations. Focus on safety, customer service, prioritization, and continuous learning. Extreme attention to detail with a professional demeanor and advanced interpersonal communication skills. Strong judgment, decision‑making, time‑management, and prioritization. Verbal and written communicator using tact and diplomacy; comfortable interacting with senior executives and VIPs. Flexible, resilient, and highly adaptable; works well independently and in a team environment. Knowledge of basic first‑aid skills. Basic PC and mobile (Windows, iOS) skills to create documents, spreadsheets, slide presentations. Flexibility to work 12‑hour shifts, including weekends and holidays. Minimum Qualifications 3 years of relevant experience in residential or executive security, law enforcement, or the military. Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle. Pass background and driving record checks. Valid California BSIS Guard Card. Valid California BSIS Firearms Permit. Physical ability to stand, sit, walk frequently, and lift luggage, equipment, and other heavy items. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 2+ years residential security, executive protection, operations center, or command post experience; 3+ years experience in the military, law enforcement, or public/private sector security organization. Prior medical and trauma training and certifications. Valid California CCW. Benefits and Compensation Benefits include paid parental leave, comprehensive medical coverage, mental health support, and equity in the form of RSUs. Salary ranges are determined by pay zone: Zone A (CA, WA, NYC) – $66,000‑$98,000; Zone B – $63,000‑$93,000; Zone C – $56,000‑$83,000.
