Position Description: This position is for a Release Manager responsible for overseeing the release process, from planning and testing to execution and migration of releases to our production environment. As a Release Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate software releases, manage timelines, and ensure quality standards are met. You will support a large Federal Government Executive agency and play a direct role in assisting the government with the overall agency mission. Additionally, you will be part of a client-specific team with members based in multiple locations across the US. This is a full-time position with CGI Federal. Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required. Occasional night/weekend work needed for configurations/deployments during outage windows. This position is located in our Washington, DC office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. Your future duties and responsibilities: Provide central point of contact across multiple portfolios for Release Execution support. Lead and coordinate Software release planning, schedule, testing and deployment management at a program level for different initiatives. This includes baseline management, version controls, implementation plans, communication plans, and software upgrades. Execution of deployment plan, perform and manage Go/No Go checklists, resource and deployment coverage management, and communications to stakeholders. Understanding of Configuration Management best practices and standards to assist in deployment planning as well as coordination efforts with the Enterprise Configuration Management team. Manage build, release, regression, and automated testing Participate in deployment activities and post deployment retrospective and monitor resolution of identified issues through upcoming releases. Partner with Enterprise Release Management team, impacted technology system owners to review deployment plans and supporting requirements to create program level deployment plans Required qualifications to be successful in this role: 7 years of SDLC Release Management experience Managed multiple/concurrent releases in the parallel development, waterfall and Agile methodologies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines. Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently. Experience with the Rational suite of tools Ability to anticipate potential challenges and develop contingency plans. Attention to detail to ensure quality standards are maintained. Ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve project goals. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and environments. CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $69,700.00 - $169,700.00.
