Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years Radiology Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A healthcare professional with expertise in diagnostic imaging and computed tomography is sought for a contract position in Wrangell, Alaska. This role requires strong technical skills, patient care abilities across all age groups, and a commitment to quality standards within a radiology department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct radiographic CT examinations of all body parts using professional judgment and radiation protection principles.
• Perform diagnostic medical radiography or sonography in designated areas while maintaining patient records.
• Participate in departmental quality assurance and continuing education efforts.
• Transfer patients safely and assist with invasive and ancillary procedures as needed.
• Assume leadership duties in the absence of supervision and help coordinate staff schedules and orientation.
• Operate and maintain CT and imaging equipment, follow sterile technique, and manage supply inventory.
• Collaborate with physicians and adapt protocols for diverse patient populations, including pediatric and geriatric care.
• Ensure compliance with ethical standards and organizational policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography or ARDMS certification in Abdomen or OB/GYN.
• Certified CT technologist with demonstrated CT experience.
• BLS certification required within 45 days from start date.
• Clinical competency validated within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years.
• Ability to perform diagnostic exams for assigned modalities and maintain technical proficiency.
• Must provide two fingerprint cards upon acceptance of the position.
• Willingness to rotate shifts, perform call duty with a prompt response time, and cross-train in other imaging modalities.
