MaineHealth Addiction Medicine is seeking a full-time physician specializing in addiction medicine.


The Division of Addiction Medicine is expanding the scope of inpatient addiction medicine services at its Maine Medical Center Portland campus. This physician would join a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and behavioral health clinicians providing consultation for patients with substance use disorder. Consults would include a focus on treating pain and withdrawal for patients with opioid use disorder. The physician will be responsible for teaching addiction medicine fellows, residents and medical students. Administrative responsibilities will include the development and promotion of evidence-based treatment and educational resources throughout the MaineHealth system as the Medical Director for Inpatient Addiction Medicine.


Desired Qualifications & Experience

  • Maine Medical License
  • Board Certified / Board Eligible in Addiction Medicine
  • Addiction Medicine Fellowship or at least one year of experience providing inpatient Addiction Medicine treatment
