A Mammography Technologist performs specialized radiological procedures to diagnose and treat breast disease, primarily in an outpatient setting. They produce high-quality mammographic images, adhere to quality control standards per MQSA and FDA mandates, and may perform general radiography depending on the location. The role requires formal radiologic technology training, relevant registry certifications, and compassionate patient interaction within a healthcare environment.
Description
This position is required to perform a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high volume outpatient setting. Responsible for producing high quality radiographic images while interacting with all patients in a caring and comforting manner. Jointly responsible for performing required quality control activities as mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and the FDA. Dependant on location, may be required to utilize general radiography skills to perform diagnostic radiology exams.

New graduates from accredited radiologic technology programs are strongly encouraged to apply. While onboarding and comprehensive professional development will be provided, candidates must successfully complete our mandatory 48-hour mammography training course prior to commencing employment.
