Summary / Objective

The Lead Fence Installer is responsible for leading the crew by producing quality fence construction alongside team members.

Essential Functions

• Communicates daily with Production Team regarding job site layout, changes to work, schedule, customer concerns, etc.
• Provides superb customer service by communicating with customer when in route to job site, upon arrival and upon completion.
• Analyzes and comprehends scope of work, work order, blueprints, specifications and other construction documentation to construct a quality project.
• Constructs project per work order instructions and contacts Project Manager/Rep should questions arise.
• Follows safety rules and regulations on and off job site.
• Leads team by taking initiative, delegating tasks to increase productivity, teaching job knowledge and skills to others and maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Ensures company truck is operable and complies with federal, state and local laws.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities but oversees and influences others work.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to and possibly exceed 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and general hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. This position regularly requires long hours.

Travel
This position sometimes requires weekend work, overtime and travel. Employees who work overtime are paid time and a half and employees who travel overnight are granted per diem.

Required Education and Experience

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. 2-3 years of related industry experience.
