Title: Certified Special Education Teacher
Rate: Up to $65 per hour

Focused Staffing Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher (SPED) with a Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certification for our partner school.

The SPED Teacher will be responsible for instructing 1st and 2nd-grade classes, managing a caseload of
18-20 students with diverse learning needs.

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Provide direct instruction and support to students exhibiting multiple disabilities, including autism, ADD, ADHD, learning disabilities, emotional challenges, and developmental delays.
• Collaborate with other educators and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments and utilize progress monitoring techniques to track student growth.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development.

• Education : Master’s degree in Special Education preferred.
• Certification : Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Standard Certification is required.
• Experience :
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in special education (required).
  • Preferred experience includes:
    • 3 years working with IEPs.
    • 2 years working with students exhibiting multiple disabilities.
    • 2 years working with students facing emotional challenges.
    • 2 years working with students with developmental delays.
• Clearances : Must possess all current PA state clearances (Police, Child Abuse, and Fingerprinting).
• Knowledge of Special Education regulations and procedures.
• Excellent communication and teaching skills.
• A positive, student-centered approach with a compassionate demeanor.

• Full-time
• Expected hours : 37.5 hours per week
• Schedule : Monday to Friday

• In-person at the partner school in Phoenixville, PA.
