Job Title: Compensation Consultant Location: Fully Remote (U.S. based) Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on experience Overview: We are seeking a knowledgeable and analytical Compensation Consultant to support our HR and business teams in the design, analysis, and implementation of compensation programs. In this fully remote role, you'll work cross-functionally to evaluate jobs, benchmark salaries, and support compensation compliance and planning. Key Responsibilities: Advise HR and business leaders on compensation decisions, job offers, and pay adjustments to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness Conduct job evaluations, market pricing, and salary benchmarking using tools such as MarketPay or Salary.com Ensure accurate job classification (FLSA, SCLS) and documentation for new and existing roles Support annual compensation cycles including merit increases, audits, and data analysis Participate in compensation surveys and interpret results to guide recommendations Maintain compensation data integrity in HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, SuccessFactors) Stay up to date on relevant labor laws and compensation trends to ensure compliance Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field 3-5 years of compensation experience, preferably in a multi-state or fully remote environment Strong understanding of compensation fundamentals and compliance (FLSA, wage/hour laws, etc.) Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and experience with HRIS and market pricing tools Detail-oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting compensation in healthcare, nonprofit, or government contract settings CCP or other relevant certification a plus Why Join Us: 100% remote role with flexible hours Supportive team and growth-oriented culture Competitive benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, generous PTO, and wellness resources Ascendo is a certified minority owned staffing firm, and we welcome and celebrate diversity.
