Golf Course Superintendent
Golf course in Indian Land, South Carolina is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
Manages and maintains all aspects of agronomy for the golf course, property, and club house grounds.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Oversee and participate in the maintenance of the golf course tees, greens, fairways, and cart paths.
• Supervise and control all maintenance expenses associated with golf course operations.
• Design, oversee, and implement fertilization, pest, and weed management programs.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, OSHA rules, and regulations regarding shop safety and pesticide usage.
• Monitor the course daily to determine proper playing conditions.
• Provide technical, operational, and safety training for employees to ensure that staff is working within OSHA, club safety, state, and federal guidelines for safe working conditions.
• Develop and maintain drainage, irrigation, pumping, and water reservoir systems.
• Communicate with golfers and club management about course conditions and playability.
• Hire, supervise, and develop assistant superintendents, foremen, greenskeepers, and other staff.
• Order parts, supplies, and equipment as needed.
