Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a well-educated and experienced Fire Service professional with a proven track record of successful executive leadership in a similar sized or larger organization. Critical experience includes significant background in providing a full range of Fire and Emergency Medical services in urban, suburban and rural environments, including administration, finance and HR functions. Familiarity with the complexities of Wildland Urban Interface firefighting, Inter-agency coordination, and experience on an Incident Management team are preferred. Candidates with a relevant bachelor's degree, such as public administration and having completed additional course work, such as the Executive Fire Officer's program would be a good fit for this position. The ideal candidate will have the ability to rapidly gain support of the District's personnel and the community.

Candidates will initially be screened based on their qualifications for this position as evidenced by their education and experience they provide which is relative to this position, which shows they possess the knowledge, skills and abilities required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • The salary range for this position is $165,000-$185,000. Salary placement is dependent upon experience, and qualifications. Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS); Employee contributes (6%) Individual Account Program (IAP) contributions
