An established, accredited nonprofit dedicated to child advocacy and trauma-informed care is seeking a visionary and strategic Executive Director to lead the organization into its next chapter of impact and innovation. This is a pivotal opportunity for a values-aligned leader to shape strategy, deepen community partnerships, drive resource development, and ensure the delivery of exceptional services.
Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a strategic thought leader, developing and implementing a long-range strategic plan aligned with the organization's mission.
Cultivate relationships with the Board of Directors, staff, community partners, elected officials, and donors.
Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion by fostering a workplace culture that attracts, motivates, and retains a high-performing, diverse team.
Ensure compliance with national and state accreditation standards, including those governing multidisciplinary team (MDT) coordination.
Provide leadership to the MDT, ensuring effective collaboration across agencies such as law enforcement, legal, healthcare, and social services.
Oversee financial planning and accountability, including annual budget development, fiscal stewardship, and clean annual audits.
Develop and implement a multi-year donor engagement strategy, inclusive of major gifts and capacity-building campaigns.
Lead talent recruitment, development, and performance management with a focus on building a mission-driven, growth-oriented team.
Set and track measurable objectives in alignment with strategic goals and fundraising campaigns.
Recommend and implement policy and programmatic initiatives to meet evolving community needs.
7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in the nonprofit sector or a related field.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master's degree in a related discipline preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in nonprofit management, fundraising, financial oversight, and compliance with grant requirements.
Proven track record of successful fundraising, particularly in major gifts and donor cultivation.
Advanced knowledge of MDT operations and trauma-informed practices related to child abuse, domestic violence, or related fields.
Familiarity with standards from relevant accrediting bodies (e.g., NCA, CJCC, GVAA).
Strategic leadership and a results-driven mindset.
High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills.
Exceptional communication, persuasion, and public speaking ability.
Ethical, transparent, and mission-focused decision-making.
Demonstrated success in fostering inclusive, high-performing team cultures.
Skilled in balancing strategic vision with tactical execution.
Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with agility and accountability.
Annual salary range : $125,000 – $175,000, commensurate with experience.
