Job Description

POSITION: ED TECH III (WATERVILLE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL)

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Waterville School District is seeking an outstanding Educational Technician III for Waterville Senior High School starting with the 2025-26 school year.  This 183 day, 37.5/hr a week, school-year position (including in-service days) provides benefits such as health insurance, sick leave, course reimbursement, and vacation time.  The contract can be found online at:  . The successful candidate will be certifiable as an Educational Technician III through the Maine DOE, have experience working with adolescents in a school setting, have the ability to work independently and as a member of a team, and must be adaptable, flexible, able to connect with students, and demonstrate effective communication skills.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provide a variety of coverage for our school including (but not limited to) monitoring study halls, lunch duties, classrooms, before/after school duties, and providing academic support as needed.  

  2. Assist individual and groups of students with academic remediation.

  3. Maintain an atmosphere conducive to academic learning by monitoring and maintaining acceptable student behavior.

  4. Monitor student arrival and departure through sign in and passes. 

  5. Maintain confidentiality of student information. 

  6. Maintain a positive professional attitude with students, staff, and families.

  7. Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities that may be assigned.
