DESCRIPTION OF EMPLOYER: Founded in 1901, Feeser’s, Inc. is a family owned and operated full-line foodservice distributor located in Harrisburg, PA servicing the Mid-Atlantic region. Feeser’s provides an expansive offering of dry, refrigerated, and frozen products to a diverse customer base comprised of restaurants, healthcare facilities, educational facilities, and other institutions.

SUMMARY: Feeser’s has immediate job openings for dependable local Route Delivery Helpers to manually unload/deliver various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, supplies, etc.) to customer locations on an assigned route. Route, driver being assisted, start, and return times will fluctuate based on the volume and needs of the drivers and customers. Further, in times of need we have three non-cdl trucks that we will ask you to use to deliver a small route. We also have daily express deliveries that will be assigned as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Assist route driver with deliveries.
• Unload customer product utilizing a pump jack and hand truck or electric jack.
• Run a non-CDL truck with a small route including utilizing a delivery handheld.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Read and follow load grid diagrams.
• Organize products efficiently.
• Understands the importance of Food Safety.
• Able to operate mobile scanning device.
• Has and can maintain a Class C driver’s license

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Delivery experience helpful but not required.
• Class C driver's license

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment up to 100 pounds.
• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Moving about accomplishing tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
• Must possess visual acuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust.
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Operating machinery and/or power tools / Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
• Low temperatures and High temperatures.
• Outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.
• Noisy environments, Hazardous conditions, Poor ventilation.
• Must possess visual acuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust.
