Commercial Litigation Paralegal

Our client is a growing nine-attorney trial and litigation boutique firm with a reputation for punching well above their weight. They are looking to add a commercial litigation paralegal to their Dallas office who will contribute to the firm's mission of outworking, outsmarting, and out-strategizing opposing counsel at every turn.

While most of the firm's work is on the plaintiff's side, they handle a wide range of complex commercial disputes across industries like finance, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, construction, banking, insurance, and manufacturing. Their cases often involve breach of contract, fraud, tortious interference, fiduciary breaches, whistleblower claims, corporate governance, bankruptcy, and intellectual property disputes. Thanks to their precision and strategic depth, the firm is also frequently retained for defense work and pre-litigation counseling-trusted not just to fight, but to guide.

Location: Dallas, Texas

Salary: $100,000-$120,000

What You'll Do:

Case & Court Management:

• File in state and federal courts (Texas, New York, California, and other jurisdictions).
• Organize and maintain electronic case files, expert files, and deposition/witness files.
• Track and manage court deadlines, filings, hearings, and depositions.
• Prepare scheduling orders in compliance with local rules.
• Monitor heavy email traffic and maintain case correspondence.
• Support multiple attorneys and manage their calendars and scheduling.

Trial & Deposition Preparation:

• Organize and prepare court filings, discovery, exhibits, and deposition materials.
• Coordinate court reporters, videographers, and expert witnesses.
• Assist with mediation/arbitration preparation and trial logistics.

Document & Records Management:

• Review, index, and prepare documents for production, including Bates-numbering and coordinating with vendors.
• Proofread and cite-check legal documents, including complex briefs with 50+ pages and 50-100 footnotes.
• Assist with locating missing record citations and assembling appendices.

Technology & Administrative Support:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat is a must.
• Handle administrative and paralegal tasks seamlessly.
• Set up and manage Zoom meetings, conference calls, and scheduling.

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, specifically in commercial litigation or, securities litigation (construction litigation or catastrophic injury.
• Proficient with e-filing in state and federal courts.
• Highly skilled in proofreading, cite-checking, and document formatting.
• Ability to juggle multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities without missing a beat.
