CNC Setup Machinist (Mills Only)

3, 4 & 5-Axis | Aerospace Manufacturing
2nd Shift | Temp-to-Hire | Riverside, CA

We are seeking a high-level CNC Setup Machinist with full setup capability and a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience on 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC mills. This is a 2nd shift, temp-to-hire opportunity in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.

This role is ideal for a skilled setup machinist who takes pride in precision, owns their setups from start to finish, and is ready to step into a shop where 5-axis machining is becoming the main platform.

What You Will Be Doing

• Perform complete machine setups including tools, offsets, fixtures, and verification

• Set up and operate 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC milling machines

• Conduct first article and in-process inspections

• Perform tool changes, offsets, and machining adjustments

• Read and interpret blueprints, routers, setup sheets, and work instructions

• Perform edge-breaking and deburring for safe handling

• Maintain consistent quality, documentation, and engineering standards

• Communicate all machining issues, discrepancies, and improvement ideas

• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas

• Follow all company procedures, safety policies, and attendance requirements

Required Skills & Experience (Non-Negotiable)

• Minimum 5 years of CNC setup experience

• Must have full setup capability with all tools

• Strong 4-axis and 5-axis CNC milling experience

• Experience with Haas machines and Fanuc controls required

• Aerospace manufacturing experience required

• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge

• Skilled with precision measuring instruments

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

• Must be comfortable working 2nd shift
