Job Description
Seeking a Chemist with 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably with plastics formulations.
Duties/responsibilities:
-Work with development of new products and day to day troubleshooting.
-Ensures assigned products meet quality requirements for the customer and the company.
-Performs all steps necessary to maintain correct chemical balance or material mixture needed to support proper equipment operation, product quality, or other chemical needs
-Performs analytical testing of finished products accurately and precisely.
-Identifies and recommends improvements to processes to maintain quality, cost effectiveness, safety compliance, and other parameters.
-Carries out quantitative and qualitative analysis on raw materials and finished products.
-Safely maintains and stores all relevant tools, instruments, measuring devices, and equipment to ensure proper function.
-Performs maintenance and calibration of analytical instruments.
-Maintains all records related to processes and chemicals used including MSDS and equipment operation logs.
-Writes, reviews, and improves procedures for operation of lab equipment and processes.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
