Corporate Hospitality Event Associate

MKTG Sports + Entertainment is looking for a hospitality-minded associate to join our team in Charlotte, NC who can develop high-quality corporate hospitality events, with a primary focus on motorsports. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and inspired person who will implement corporate events that enhance our client/guest experience. You will report to: Senior Manager/Director.

You will:

• Apply strategic marketing goals and implement them in event execution
• Advise clients on event strategies and project plan
• Represent the client and company in negotiating and troubleshooting with properties, venues and suppliers to deliver first-class experiences for guests
• Support MKTG Hospitality team to help manage calls, agendas, and notes for partners across the entirety of our client's business
• Plan and complete site surveys
• Prepare and manage line-item budgets
• Manage event branding, collateral, and on-site materials
• Determine food and beverage and other on-site amenities and oversee ordering and implementation
• Conduct onsite management of corporate hospitality events, with a primary focus on sports and entertainment-related events
• Manage on-site vendors, oversee contractors, and enforce company and client policies during execution
• Create client-ready event itineraries, staffing plans, and event recaps
• Lead client conference calls and meetings and design and prepare communications and presentations
• Manage and communicate project status with manager, internal team and clients
• Identify opportunities for business growth and recommend new strategies to clients and company
• Evaluate event outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and provide going-forward strategy recommendations to partners

About You:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 3+ years of relevant experience developing high-level corporate events and hospitality
• Experience in the motorsports industry (preferably NASCAR)
• Exceptional client service and interaction skills
• Budget planning proficiency
• Comfort in a client-facing role and ability to partner with the client
• Project management experience
• Experience building and delivering presentations
• Ability to travel frequently, both weekdays and weekends

The annual base salary range for this position is $51,000-$83,375. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
