South Carolina Guard Card preferred. *Prior Security Experience preferred* *Previous Access Control experience preferred*. A successful Access Control Security Officer will have strong organizational skills as well as strong communication skills for managing incoming calls and working with staff and clients. They should have a professional voice and experience of working with people. Here are several skills and qualifications an Access Control Security Officer should have. Excellent computer skills. Knowledgeable in MS Word, and Excel, with the ability to learn programs quickly. You will be required to pass a skills test. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must read, write, and speak English. The ability to remain calm, solve problems, and act effectively in a critical situation. Must be customer service oriented. Must have strong verbal, problem‑solving, and follow‑up skills; and the ability to coordinate and perform several tasks simultaneously. A highly organized and detail‑oriented professional who can work independently. A strong and clear writer, able to prepare clear and appropriate correspondence and reports quickly and articulately. Must be a team player – works well with others; understands the role each person plays in the organization and seeks assistance when needed. JOB SUMMARY The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Responsible for the issuance of temporary security credentials to visitors and contractors in accordance with site access protocols. Monitors incoming calls. Dispatches Security Personnel. Tracks Incidents. Maintains clear records to ensure safety and compliance with organizational protocols. Inputs information into automated resource system. Makes and logs and completes daily shift reports. Camera monitoring to ensure compliance and safety. Security Engineers, Inc. South Carolina Security Company License: 4009. Education Requirements (All): High School Diploma or equivalent. Certification Requirements (All): Able to obtain any & all security certifications/licenses. South Carolina SLED, Security Officer License. State Issued Driver’s License (Not Expired).
