Job Description

Description:

About Us

Project Luong is a firm of architects, landscape architects, interior designers, and administrators who design projects across market sectors, including municipal, commercial, community, aviation, multi-family, single-family, higher education, and parking structures. We pride ourselves on providing unique solutions for the built environment that have a sense of place and are anchored to the cities and communities in which they exist and serve. Through this internship, you will become a part of our mission of Doing More .

Our leadership is committed to an inclusive workplace environment because our reputation and integrity depends on our work product and how we treat our People. Therefore, we invest in the People we hire. If you’re creative, hardworking, and willing to grow with us, we would love to discuss our internship.

We don’t just say this – our People reflect this commitment.

Your Position on The Team

Project Luong is looking for an Architecture intern for the 2026 Spring and/or Summer season. This internship is not about eternal menial administrative work or fetching coffee - though none of us are above admin duties or coffee runs. You will be an integral part of our team in Houston and learn the real-world applications of your studies. You will be included in generating design and concept work while teaching you the ins and outs of how buildings are put together. We gather as a complete team around our studio to take white board sketches, to production documents using Revit, Autocad, Sketchup, and Enscape along the way. You will have a dedicated one-on-one mentorship with our principals and senior associates who have over 60 years of combined experience and are invested in your future development.

Requirements:

How you’ll spend your Summer

- Work with our team to design and produce documents for projects ranging from high-rise multi-family to community centers and municipal buildings.

- Be exposed to our marketing department and help generate content for our social media platforms.

- Create production documents in Revit to learn the craft of Architecture, from site plans to details.

- Participate in firm-wide learning activities to expand your knowledge of Architecture.

- Travel to and walk the job sites under construction to learn relevant field experience that is so crucial to the design process after pencils are down.

- Logging critical design experience hours towards your NCARB licensure requirements. We will help you get setup if this is your first year.

- This is a paid temporary intern position with a maximum of $20/hr. based on previous work experience included in your resume.

What you need to have

- Be enrolled in and actively pursuing a B.Arch, M.Arch, B.S.Arch from an accredited program

- Be enrolled in and actively pursuing a B.Landscape Arch/Urban Plng, M.Landscape Arch/Urban Plng, B.S.Landscape Arch/Urban Plng from an accredited program

- Have a working knowledge of the software required to create Architecture

- Must be located in Houston during the summer. This is not a remote position.

- Must be eligible to work in the United States

What you need to do to apply

- Submit all of the following documents – be sure to follow the instructions. Failure to submit 100% of requested information will result in denial of your application.

1. COVER LETTER – specifically noting why you chose architecture, why you chose the university you are attending, and what you want to do in your career. Include your home city and state. Include any other information you would like to share as well.

2. RESUME – accurate and up-to-date

3. PORTFOLIO – submit in pdf format only. Links to portfolios will not be accepted. NO QR CODES.

4. Provide a sample of architectural writing – Architects are great at drawing and designing, but there are times when communication skills are needed to describe details of a design. Show us your writing skills.
